it’s Irish cocktails time!

Happy Saint Patrick’s day everybody! I know, I could’ve made green smoothies, green salads, green cupcakes, greet sweeties or just something healthier and I made cocktails? Well, everything else sounded a bit too boring. Besides it’s the perfect event to indulge with some high alcoholic treats, something I normally don’t do :) I actually don’t like drinking whiskey, it burns my throat, but whisky with mint is something quite different, not to mention the sweet and exotic crème de menthe with coconut milk for the ladies…

Whiskey is our best man most favorite drink, irish whiskey to be exact. So over the years I learnt everything there is know about it and even bought some whiskey glasses. The collection is quite comprehensive, we have Bushmills, Jameson, Tullamore Dew, young ones, 12 year old ones, you name it. We have it all. May be that’s why my father loves to come by for a drink :)

Mint and milk though is something very different. The cocktail was invented or may be discovered during one of our vacations. It was hot, wet, lazy evening and we needed something refreshing to get the conversation going. One of our friends suggested Crème de Menthe, we all agreed and the drink was born. Everybody in the company likes it in his own way – with milk, with sprite, only with ice cubes and my favorite with coconut milk. The perfect summer drink, fresh, cold and absolutely delicious! :)
