hot & fascinating aphrodisiac drinks for your sweet Valentine

Aphrodisiac. A magical word. A substance believed to increase the sexual desire and fertility. Named after the Greek Goddess of love, beauty, pleasure and sexuality, Aphrodite.

Luckily, some of the most used ingredients in the raw & healthy cuisine are actually aphrodisiacs, so for Valentine’s Day I decided to select the most powerful ones and prepare these delicious, fascinating & hot drinks. An easy alternative to the raw chocolate with 2 versions, a day drink and an evening one. For breakfast in bed and for your night full of pleasures, dim candle light and red high heels…

Now, to the foods. Aphrodisiac number 1 – cacao, of course, contains phenylethylamine and serotonin, two chemicals that are produced in the body when feeling happy, loving, or passionate.

Aphrodisiac number 2 – almonds, or in our case almond butter & amaretto, believed to induce passion in females and the most known symbol of fertility ever.

Aphrodisiac number 3 – bananas, considered one based on it’s shape alone, hmmm.

Aphrodisiac number 4 – cherries, these little fruits are said to stimulate pheromone production. They also offer a little potassium, essential for producing sexual hormones. Oh, and you can save two or three frozen ones and use them as an ice cube forth play, naughty, naughty…

Aphrodisiac number 5 – coconut milk, enhances the libido.

Aphrodisiac number 6 – figs, this sexy fruit is cherished by the Greeks as a sacred one, reported to be Cleopatra’s favorite and even mentioned in the Bible. A man breaking open a fig and eating it in front of his lover is a powerful erotic act, mhm.

And if those are not enough to make your man feeling on the top of the world on Valentine’s Day… just change the man :)))

Have you figured out the drinks yet? Well, easy. The day one is cacao drink, made with bananas, frozen cherries, cacao powder, figs, almond butter and coconut milk. The evening is liqueur, made with cherries, amaretto, cherry liqueur and martini…

2. Taste, if it’s too bitter – add a little bit of sweetener.

  • 50 ml amaretto
  • 100 ml dry martini
